Dive into three days of nothing, but chocolate! . . . chocolate strawberries, donuts, martinis, and much more! The 12th Annual Long Grove Chocolate Festival gives chocoholics a chance to taste chocolate delights. From April 29th until May 1st, see all magnificent and tasty forms of this favorite sweet treat: dark, white, and milk chocolate. Every year, thousands of people of all ages stroll through this cobblestone-paved, historical downtown. This business district is home to more that 50 distinctive shops and restaurants, including the well known Long Grove Confectionery. Another popular spot is the Apple Haus, where people flock to try its famous Johnny Pop, a signature apple cider donut smothered in Long Grove chocolate and "served on a stick and easy to eat." Restaurants, cafes, and food vendors will feature amazing chocolate specialty items. Food booths are open from 10am to 6pm, while the village's restaurants are open well beyond Fest hours. Catch the live demonstrations, where fudge-making talent whip up delectable treats at the Mill Pond stage. Don't forget to watch live music from 30-plus bands on all four stages! In addition to all the excitement, grab a beer at the Beer/Brat tent, and even do a wine pairing. Children can enjoy pony rides, kiddie rides, workshops, and kid-friendly live entertainment.
