The event takes place on a major artery in the heart of Lincoln Park, where high home values meet the DePaul University population. The area is the home to many of Chicago's oldest and most favored restaurants. Begun as a small neighborhood fund raiser, today Taste of Lincoln Avenue is one of the largest neighborhood festivals in the region, covering six city blocks. The event features 300 vendors and presents approximately 40 musical acts. attracting a mix of young professionals and families. Five entertainment stages are in operation throughout the event featuring top-name national music headliners, Blues acts, hometown bands, Country acts, and entertainment for kids. The event also features an entire city block devoted to children's entertainment.
