n 2005, upon hearing about the discontinuation of the annual Historical Days festival, a group of citizens formed a committee to carry on the summer festival tradition. The festival was renamed Hometown Days. Now in its twelfth year, Hometown Days continues to provide a safe, fun, and family-oriented event on the last full weekend of each July. New Carlisle Hometown Days, Inc. is a nonprofit organization. The steering committee consists of a group of citizens representing many area churches, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations. The festival committee meets the fourth Monday of each month at the Edward Jones office in New Carlisle. New volunteers are always welcome to help throw New Carlisle's biggest party of the year. Join us for the 2016 festival, which will be held from Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31 at Memorial Park in New Carlisle, Indiana.
