Experience a little bit of French culture without leaving Indiana: come to the Indiana Bastille Day on Saturday, July 11th, 2015 from 11am-11pm in Fortville's Landmark Park. Enjoy a Parisian atmosphere thanks to an authentic French singer, a French boutique and several marionette shows. Participate in a pétanque (bocce) tournament or learn to paint in a very ?Montmartre-esque? setting. Try a variety of fine beverages at the Wine and Beer garden and enjoy artisan food. Root for your favorite restaurant during the Waiters' Race. Watch costumed performers add a historical dimension to the event. Make candlelight lanterns for the traditional lantern procession at dusk. And get a thrill out of the one-of-a-kind laser light show finale. Organized by Six Feet Up (www.sixfeetup.com), Indiana Bastille Day is a free family event for anybody interested in experiencing a bit of French culture and joie de vivre right in the heart of Indiana.
